Carlisle United have confirmed a series of loan deals involving some of their youth team players.

Three members of the under-18 squad have sealed moves to Carlisle City and Penrith respectively - and another has extended his loan terms.

City have brought in right-back Trent Chapman and defender Josh O'Brien on work experience deals until the end of the season.

And forward Freddie O'Donoghue has extended his own spell with City until the end of the campaign.

Another deal sees defender Mason Fleming link up with Penrith for the rest of the season.

The quartet could all feature tonight in a Cumbrian derby between the respective Northern League Division One clubs at Gillford Park.

Centre-back O'Brien had started the season on loan with Dan Kirkup's City but an ankle injury ruled him out of action for several months.

O'Donoghue has spent the last month with Kirkup's side.

Fleming's move, meanwhile, makes him the second player from Mark Birch's under-18 squad to join Darren Edmondson's Penrith, with Dan Hopper also spending the rest of the campaign with the Bonny Blues.
